Teresa Iuculano (PhD)

Teresa a obtenu une licence (2004) en Psychobiologie de l’Université de Trieste en Italie où elle a également obtenu un master de Neuropsychologie (2006). En 2007, elle a commencé une thèse en Neuroscience cognitive à l’institut des neurosciences cognitives (University College London, UK) sous la direction du Professeur Brian Butterworth. De 2012 à 2017, elle a ensuite effectué un post doctorat à l’université de Stanford (Stanford Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience Laboratory). En 2018, Teresa a rejoint le LaPsyDÉ et est devenue Chargé de Recherche au CNRS. Ces travaux de recherche portent sur le développement cérébral et cognitif de l’enfant dans des domaines académiques comme les mathématiques. Ces recherches intègrent non seulement les méthodes de neuroimagerie (fMRI, MRI, tDCS) mais également les modèles cognitifs et pédagogiques pour étudier comment les changements cérébraux, anatomiques et fonctionnels, permettent de mieux comprendre le développement des compétences arithmétiques chez l’enfants sains ainsi que chez ceux souffrant de troubles des apprentissages (e.g. dyscalculie développementale).
