Laurine Milon
2024/10-
Ph. D student
Paris Cité University
Laurine began her academic journey by earning a degree in physiology from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University in 2022. Driven by her passion for neuroscience, she pursued a master’s degree in *Fundamental and Clinical Neuroscience* at the same university, which she completed in 2024. Throughout these years, she developed a keen interest in cognitive processes, particularly those related to mathematical learning and child development. In October 2024, she joined LaPsyDé to undertake her PhD under the supervision of Elise Klein and André Knops, focusing on the linguistic impact on the acquisition of "number words."
Laurine also completed several internships at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (CRNL), where she worked under the guidance of Anne Caclin (PAM team), Mathilde Bonnefond (COPHY team), and finally Jérôme Prado (EDUWELL team). These experiences allowed her to acquire valuable skills in fNIRS processing (functional near-infrared spectroscopy), programming and most importantly, children mathematical processes.
