Arnaud Cachia

Arnaud est Professeur de neurosciences cognitives à l'Université Paris Cité, membre de l'Institut Universitaire de France et chercheur au LaPsyDÉ. Il est également coordonnateur du Diplôme Universitaire (DU) 'Neuroéducation' de l'Université Paris Cité. Arnaud a réalisé sa thèse de sciences le développement du cerveau et de la cognition au Service Hospitalier Frédéric Joliot (CEA, Orsay) de 2000 à 2003 avec un séjour de recherche au Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI, McGill University, Montréal) en 2003. Il a ensuite été post doctorant dans l'Unité 'Imagerie et Psychiatrie' (INSERM, Maison des Adolescents, Paris) entre 2003 et 2009 et au 'Centre de Psychiatrie et Neurosciences' (INSERM, hôpital Sainte-Anne, Paris) entre 2009 et 2011 avant d'être recruté en 2011 à l'Université Paris Descartes.

Les recherches d'Arnaud visent à déchiffrer les bases neurodéveloppementales de la cognition. Il s’intéresse aux interactions entre les contraintes précoces (développement cérébral fœtal, facteurs génétiques) et les mécanismes de neuroplasticité tardifs chez l'enfant et l'adolescent sur le développement cognitif normal (apprentissages) et pathologique (troubles psychiatriques). Ses travaux utilisent une approche intégrative gène-cerveau-comportement.
