Olivier Houdé

Olivier Houdé, Directeur honoraire du laboratoire, est professeur de psychologie expérimentale à l'Université Paris Cité depuis 1995 et fut directeur du LaPsyDÉ (CNRS) à La Sorbonne de 1998 à 2018, date à laquelle il devint Administrateur de l’Institut universitaire de France (IUF) au Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche (MESR). Il fut antérieurement membre junior et senior de l’IUF. Pionnier en France et dans le monde en imagerie cérébrale chez l’enfant, Olivier Houdé devint membre en 2017 de l’Académie des technologies, en 2018 de l’Académie des sciences morales et politiques à l’Institut de France (reçu sous la Coupole en 2021), comme son illustre prédécesseur Théodule Ribot, et en 2019 membre de l’Académie royale des sciences, lettres et beaux-arts de Belgique, son pays natal. Auteur de plusieurs centaines de publications et communications scientifiques dont trente livres sur le développement cognitif de l’enfant, la psychologie et les neurosciences cognitives en général, primés par l’Académie des sciences, l’Académie des sciences morales et politiques et l’Académie française, Olivier Houdé fit son entrée dans le Dictionnaire Larousse illustré en 2022 et dans le Dictionnaire Robert illustré en 2023. Il est chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, Commandeur de l’ordre des Palmes académiques et Commandeur de l’Ordre de la Couronne (Belgique). Au Canada, l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) lui a attribué en 2015 un Doctorat honoris causa pour sa contribution exceptionnelle au développement de nouveaux champs de recherche établissant des ponts entre l’éducation, la psychologie et les neurosciences.
